Every minute, 150 babies are born.

Every minute, 1 mother dies while bringing forth life.[1]

Ninety nine percent (99%) of the deaths of pregnant or newly delivered mothers occur in the under-developed nations, translating to the reality that only  1% of the world’s maternal deaths occur in Canada, the United States, Europe and Australia combined.  [2]

In Africa women going into labor say “goodbye” to their family, in case they do not survive giving birth.

The disparity in care and opportunity for a safe, respectful birth is unjust.

A majority of these deaths can be prevented with simple, affordable solutions. Our mission is to help provide these solutions to women and children who so desperately need them.
